Comparison between Evolve Magazine review and Online
turtle rock studio
Deep, bursting smart, with character offers rally found multi player
This is the video I compared to the magazine.

Both IGN and Edge magazine reviews have very positive feedback on the game Evolve. With smart, deep, bursting characters and after completing all levels it offers a range of multi players, it is a successful game.

Magazine review

Genre
The magazine Edge describes the genre of Evolve is action, indie, fantasy and shooting game.

Target Audience

Narrative

With the magazine hyperbole language you can easily get your head around what the narrative for Evolve is. Evolve has a asymmetrical structure to it. The plot/story line of this game is a battle between the human hunters and the monsters trying to kill them. It is set in a distant future, where humans have the ability to leave the world and explore other planets and galaxies. When the humans arrive on the planet shear, they start to industrialise it and make it similar to Earth, but when they met the resistance of the planets (aliens) they release powers to destroy everything the humans built. Both critics explained this, however IGN was very descriptive with how they described the setting, deep and smart.

Personal recommendations

Game play
Evolve is seen as "the most asymmetric multiplayer yet" according to Edge magazine reviewer. Edge also described Evolve to be "built around  succession of fortune reversals that, fascinatingly, see the balance of power change drastically across a math without denying the possibility of victory for either side" the hyperbole language used here emphasises the incredibly of the game Evolve

The online review goes on to say how Turtle Rock studio have created "a smart asymmetrical multiplayer monster hunter game that plays unlike anything else" this entices viewers as the language used is very upbeat and is basically stating that this game is like no other, it doesn't compare to other games.

According to the IGN review Evolve does exactly what it was set out to do, which already shows a positive feedback. "Once you get past madly cursive progression system, it offers a level of new own rarely found in multi player shooters."

Overall Thoughts

Overall I personally prefer the online review. It is more vibrant and you get to see the visuals, which reflects the genres of the game without the reviewer even saying. However for people who haven't played the game, this could be spoiler's, therefore meaning that the magazine review would be more efficient. Both magazine and Online review are very informative in how they talk about the game. They both include how Evolve is an "asymmetric multiplayer game", which is informative to the audience. I really like the peer to peer language as well as the Teacher to student language from the magazine, everything is descriptive and slightly over the top; however this adds to the adrenalin of the game, which you get to see on the online review.

Genre
The magazine Edge describes the genre of Evolve is action, indie, fantasy and shooting game. A similar description was made by IGN review on the game Evolve as it is a action video game.

Target Audience
This game is mainly aimed towards male players, or people who find enjoyment out of killing and shooting. The game age rating is 18, as it contains violence in it. Edge magazine is very deep with its context on how is

Narrative

Characters
Evolve is a asymmetric multiplayer, which means each team is different in the sense that one team might play as monsters then as humans; according to Edge this is a efficient feature used by Evolve.

Platforms
Evolve has been produced to work on a variety of platforms, these are Xbox one, PlayStation 4, Microsoft and Windows. This is so the game is able to reach a bigger audience.
